This is something a lot of people disagree on. When an immigrant arrives into a new country should they expected to adapt and try to immense themselves into the current culture? It's nice to say that everyone gets to keep their culture but there will always be a need for government to push for at least a basic understanding of language and laws. As ethically relative as Canadians would like to think themselves to be, we have to draw the line somewhere. Then we could state that immigrants can keep their cultures as long they do break Canadian laws. Laws are dedicated but the culture and spirit of Canadians.
